technics turntable sl-q303 question?
Hey i just found this technics sl-q303 TT in my basement and was wondering if I put some slipmats on the platter if has the ability to do a little scratching. It is a direct-drive and the only major thing it does not have is a pitch control. I was just wondering so let me know what you think.
It will be fine. The SL-Q303 does not the higher torque motor, so it will not reach playing speed quite as quickly as a true DJ turntable, but it could still be fun. You might find that you need to replace the cartridge. If so look at cartridges that a specifically designed for DJ applications.
