How can I hardwire my car LEDs?
I bought LEDs that are powerd via cigarette port. I wanted to hardwire them instead(already have a power source and ground don't need help with that) my dilema is when I stripped the led wires down I'm left with 4 wires total copper and red on one side and copper and blue on the other. Tried hooking it up and it didn't work. What do I do with the colored wires?
Just two small TypeS brand LEDs. Not color changing just solid blue. I was hoping for just a + and - wire but guess not. I took apart the plug and don't understand any of it. It looks like a regular plug.
You have to see WHERE the wires were hooked to one the lighter assembly.
You don't say what brand ect or if they were color changing. Certain ones need circuitry inside the lighter plug , others use a voltage regulator inside them
