What are the best guitar strings for me?
I am not very knowledgeable about string types. So from your knowledge, what brands of strings have really good quality, life, and price?
I like to play a lot of metal and hardcore stuff, so I really want some strings that will give me really chunky, bassy power chords and stuff, but I'd like to still have a good treble tone on the higher strings. What guages are best for that?
This is all for an electric guitar of course.

I suggest get Heavy bottoms and light tops. This way you can get heavy power chords and still have the ability to play solos and bends on account of the light top strings.
Ernie balls call these Heavy Bottoms Skinny Tops.
