Amplifier Shallow
Kenwood KFC-Help XW1200F Shallow Mount Sub amp?

I have a Kenwood Shallow Mount Sub, which is rated to 350W RMS and 1,400 W peak. There are also one 700w max power handling in the subcontinent, and I wondered if manipulation max means its safe to run an amplifier that many watts constantly. Heres he-http: / / www.crutchfield.com / App / Product / Item / Main.aspx? g = 520 & i = 113XW1200 & tp = 111 & tab = review I have a Kenwood Class D Mono 1800w Amplifier that runs at 900W RMS at 2 ohms. My speaker has a SVC, and runs at 4 ohms, so there are many wiring options for me to work with him. If I wire the amplifier @ 4 ohms, 500W RMS, do you think he will bear? Heres the link AMP-http: / / www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=120&i=113KAC9103&tp=115 Please let me know, I will not lose $ 200 for blowing my sub. Thank you.

From my experience, the system will always sound better with more power to your amp then subregional needs. This way your amplifier is not working so hard, you get a good clean sound. You can always turn your gain down. Obviously, in order to make sub distort terribly anyway. I think it will be fine.
